Alta

Our arrival into Alta was calm and overcast with light snow. The snow showers continued on and off for the whole day.

All the tours ran smoothly and everybody who went particularly enjoyed the dog and reindeer sledding. The Ice hotel was also popular and some people even stayed there overnight.

The snow fell for most of the night but cleared the next day and the second day was bright with many going into Alta to see the ice sculptures.

Our sail out was calm and clear and we hoped to see the lights later on, but this was thwarted by some very heavy snow showers on the trip to Kristiansund.
