25th February, 2020

Run to Alesund was calm, and again we arrived into port in beautiful sunshine with a stunning sunrise. Now starting to get cold and the hills in the distance stunning all covered in snow.

The red jackets now came out in force and could be seen all around the town. Some people even climbed to the top of the viewpoint overlooking the town and ship’s berth.

All tours again ran successfully and were enjoyed by all. We left Alesund at 1600 and again enjoyed a very scenic sail out and stunning sunset.

On the way to Tromso we crossed the Arctic Circle at 1150 on the 26/02/2020 and we had a visit from the Arctic Queen at afternoon tea to greet all those who had not crossed before.

Off the Lofoton Islands during that night we had our first view of the Aurora Borealis!
