Bergen

On the way to Bergen the weather forecast was extremely bad with F10 from the west forecast. I took the decision to stay close to the UK coast all the way up to Rattray Head to stay in the shelter of the land and then make a dash for Bergen with the weather behind us. This worked extremely well and we had a comfortable passage.

Arrival into Bergen was calm, and unusually for Bergen, dry! There was a short period of Sleet during the morning, but this cleared quickly leaving us to enjoy a pleasant sunny day. The locals commented that this was the best day they had had for many weeks.

All the tours ran and were enjoyed by all.

We left Bergen at 1700 in fine weather and enjoyed a scenic run out to the Pilot station in sunshine.
