Day at Sea
Good day my Blog followers! Yes I am back after a restful 9 weeks on leave. Perhaps not so restful, trying to move forward with my dilapidated cottage. In the last week of my leave my good lady, Leigh, & I hand shifted and hand-raked over 50 tons of gravel, so I am back for a rest!
One of the things I enjoy about stepping back onboard is seeing my colleagues, the crew. It is a great atmosphere eon the Saga Sapphire, my second home.
So, here we are, zooming up the North Sea toward Norway on our 8 day Norwegian Legends cruise. A really nice mix of ports with a sea day to start and a sea day to finish. A good balance, these Norwegian Fjord settlements are not exactly bustling cites so even though we have five port in succession, it is a relaxed pace.
What a fabulous day here, contrary to the long-range forecast. Reportedly it’s going to be hot in the UK this week so I am hoping for good weather this cruise. However, when I checked the long-range forecast before leaving home, it looked a bit dodgy in Norway. Great for UK, particularly the south east, but, hmm, a bit damp are the indications for this cruise, the first few days. At least we are off to a great start.
I do enjoy these Norwegian west coast cruises, so picturesque and tranquil. Just need that sunshine!
Welcome Cocktails tonight, although it takes a while to get back into the stride of things, but hey ho, what must be must be!
More tomorrow after Haugesund, our first port.
