During our stay in Malaga, I and the rest of my team were up early and excited to be able to go outside, as we were docked with the Fred Olsen ship Balmoral. One of our old friends who used to work on board the Sapphire is currently on Balmoral. We met up with our friend early and were able to catch up in a lovely little coffee shop in the town, whereby we could see the beautiful buildings of Malaga.
After a catch up we walked around the old town and saw the stunning architecture in Malaga, the main church being a key point where we took some lovely photos and a couple of selfies. During the early afternoon it started to rain so we went to the main street where we spent the afternoon shopping; which was great as we were able to see some historical building then “more” shopping in the afternoon.
We ended up going for a late lunch in a lovely Italian restaurant right on the pier, where we had some pizza and pasta and lots of laughs. We then arrived back on board after a great day with my friend and the rest of my shoppies.
This evening we started work at 7pm after we set sail, it was great to chat to guests to enter the shop asking them about their day and telling them about mine. This evening the shops have stayed open to allow the crew to shop, so it was great to see a high number of crew coming into the shops, as sometimes the crew are shy to enter while we open.
