La Palma

Saga Pearl II blog - Captains' blogs

7th February, 2019

The sunshine is out again for us today ready for our overnight stay in La Palma. I love being greeted by the Pilot and the next words to come out of him are that we are very lucky with the weather and it is going to be sunny for the next few days in this region – perfect timing!! Docked by 1200 and ready to enjoy the sunshine ashore and explore the local town or beaches nearby. Some crewmembers have even taken out the bikes today to enjoy the local sights – I hope they put sunscreen on!!

A wonderful overnight stay and I was treated to a fantastic meal ashore for my birthday by some very dear friends. Plenty of guests exploring today and the temperature highs are looking to be in the mid-twenties!! Our star gazing tour was a great hit last night – have a look at the great photos we took.

8pm and time to leave, ready for our next port of call Tenerife tomorrow. Weather forecast looking great, everyone happy and the Captain is happy!! Showtime tonight with the Cast so looking forward to the Carnaby Beat.
