Day 12 Punakha

Today you visit Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang, a nunnery situated on a hillock overlooking the Punakha and Wangdue valleys, and see Chimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple.

Lunch is at a local restaurant and you return to Punakha via Wangdue Phodrang, which is famous for its bamboo products, slate and stone carvings, where you can visit a local market.
