  • Shanghai's grand waterfront parade
    On the western banks of the Huangpu river, Shanghai's Bund waterfront is one of the city's most symbolic venues. This has historically been the centre of the city’s trading activity and consequent wealth. The best time to see it is at night. A spectacular view of the river is afforded from one of the many restaurants on the upper floors of the shopping centres on the North side of the river.
  • Temple of Confucius
    Enjoy an included excursion to the Confucius Temples where you can gain a fascinating insight into the great Chinese philosopher and his modern-day followers. The Confucius Temple is a temple devoted to the memory of Confucius and the sages and philosophers of Confucianism.
  • The Great Wall of China
    The Great Wall of China, one of the greatest wonders of the world, was listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO in 1987. The Great Wall winds up and down across deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus, stretching approximately 5,500 miles from east to west of China.
  • The Terracotta Warriors
    The Terracotta Warriors and Horses are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. Altogether over 6,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and even weapons have been unearthed from the ground, most of which have been restored to their former grandeur.

Day 6 Terracotta Warriors

The UNESCO-protected Terracotta Warriors will be your next unforgettable landmark. Consisting of 6,000 life-sized figures, horses and cart sculptures dating from the 2nd century BC, this site is considered one of the most significant archaeological finds of the 20th century.

You also visit the ancient Big Wild Goose Pagoda before perhaps ending the day with an optional Tang Dynasty Show. Dinner is included tonight.
