Day 1 UK to Cagliari to Alghero

Fly to Cagliari, Sardinia and transfer to the locally rated 5-star Hotel Carlos V (4Q) in Alghero, where you'll stay four nights. The transfer covers a fair distance as you travel through the Sardinian countryside at a leisurely pace, stopping for lunch (not included) at Santa Giusta, near Oristano.

The hotel benefits from an elevated position above the seafront, with commanding views along the coast. Dinner is included this evening.
