Your Christmas holiday
December 28: Enjoy tea or coffee on your arrival at the Carbis Bay Hotel and Spa. After settling into your room you may like to relax in the hotel, enjoy a drink in the conservatory whilst soaking up the fantastic views across the bay. If you want to venture out and explore the local area you could take a stroll along the Blue Flag beach or along the coastal path, or into the village. This evening you will join fellow guests for a welcome reception and enjoy dinner tonight in the hotel's restaurant– where all your breakfasts and dinners will be served over the next few days.
December 29: Spend today at leisure. You could hop on the local bus or the coastal railway service and visit St Ives. Walk along the harbour front, browse the many art and pottery galleries or enjoy freshly caught fish in one of the seafront cafe's or restaurants.
December 30: This morning you can join a fascinating excursion to the National Maritime Museum at Falmouth, and perhaps enjoy lunch in the on-site Waterside Cafe before returning to the hotel for dinner and an evening filled with live entertainment.
New Year's Eve: Tonight you will be treated to a fabulous seven-course gala dinner to celebrate the end of 2013. The night will be filled with music and dancing, with champagne served on the countdown to midnight to start the New Year in style!
New Year's Day: This morning you might appreciate a lie-in after the late night and potential over-indulgence! Or, perhaps you might like to relax in the hotel spa as Saga guests recieve 10% off treatments. After a leisurely morning, perhaps spend the afternoon exploring the delights of pretty St Ives, which you can walk along the coast to within approximately 30 minutes, or reach by a train that leaves every half hour (Please note that times may vary over the festive period). The journey itself takes only four minutes but is known as the most scenic in Britain and so is well worth the fare!
After arriving in St Ives you can investigate the plethora of art galleries that line the cobbled streets, then once you've returned to the hotel in the evening you can enjoy dinner and live entertainment.
January 2: Depart after breakfast for your return journey home.
