Famous for the network of canals, lakes and rivers that make up its backwaters, Kerala has a number of other interesting places to visit. These include the hill stations at Munnar and Ponmudi, the heritage sites of Padmanabhapuram Palace and Mattancherry Palace and the port of Cochin.
