Red Bay, Labrador

Red Bay, in Labrador, is named for its reddish cliffs which go right along the shoreline. The area is particularly well-known for its inhabitancy of whales and, in the 16th century, attracted a large number of Basque whalers. Today, its main tourist attractions include Basque whaling stations and iceberg and whale watching.
