Mdina, Malta

Malta’s old capital, the medieval walled town of Mdina sits in the centre of the island, a short bus ride from the port. Most areas of the town are off limits to cars, allowing a peaceful atmosphere to wind through the narrow streets and alleys. Take a little time out to visit the 11th Century Siculo-Norman Cathedral, situated in the town’s only open space.
