Life on board Quest for Adventure

Cocktail party

Adventure cruising is as much about the journey itself as the places you visit, so the time you’ll spend aboard
Quest for Adventure will be as memorable as the wonderful destinations you visit.

Relax in the spa or work-out in the gym

Quest for Adventure features a gym where you can enjoy an invigorating work-out. Qualified staff can advise you on how to use the gym equipment and are able to devise a personalised fitness programme for you.

Alternatively, take a swim in one of the ship's pools, or join a yoga or pilates class. You could challenge someone to a game of table tennis, deck quoits or shuffleboard, while keen players may wish to take part in a tournament.

For something a little more relaxing, perhaps enjoy a massage or the onboard sauna.

Attend talks and demonstrations

Guest speakers will be on board to provide fascinating talks on a wide variety of topics. There will often be cookery demonstrations and art classes taking place.

During the morning there may be a port talk, wine tasting or a fun trivia quiz and for those who love to dance, there are many opportunities to learn a few new steps at one of the pre-dinner practice classes with our experienced dance hosts.

Enjoy a film, book or card game

Relaxing with a book

Watch a modern film or silverscreen classic, perhaps borrow a film to watch in the privacy of your cabin or use one of the computers in Quest for Adventure's library to catch up with family and friends.

The library on board the ship will feature hundreds of reference books and novels to choose from.

Live entertainment for all

Throughout your cruise you can enjoy performances from high quality cruise entertainers, such as singers, instrumentalists and cabaret performers. The bands on board can play a variety of styles and are happy to take requests, while the resident pianists can often be heard entertaining guests enjoying a late-night cocktail.

You can also look forward to a varied programme of classical music spanning Bartok and Schumann, the waltzes of Austria and the tangos of Argentina. There are also productions by the resident musical theatre companies.

On some cruises you may be joined by well-known personalities too – Katherine Jenkins, Neil Sedaka, Chris Tarrant and Chris Beardshaw are just a few of the celebrities to have joined a cruise with Saga in the past.

Captain’s Cocktail Party

At the beginning of your cruise you will be invited to the Captain’s Cocktail Party, where you can join the Master of the ship in toasting the start of your holiday. It is always a great social occasion and a wonderful opportunity to get to know fellow passengers and crew.

The day’s events

Each evening, a programme for the following day’s events will be posted to your cabin, informing you of the next port of call or day at sea, as well as classes, lectures and activities available on board for that day. There is always plenty to choose from and you can do as much or as little as you like.
