The remote Lofoten Islands
Lofoten is an archipelago and a traditional district in the county of Nordland. Though lying within the Arctic Circle, it retains one of the world's largest elevated temperature anomalies relative to its high latitude. Lofoten is known for the old fishermen's cabins ("rorbuer") that have been restored and turned into modern accommodation for travellers.

Magdalena Bay is one of the most remote and awe-inspiring areas of the Arctic. 600 miles from the North Pole there is a fantastic array of wildlife here, including polar bears, whales, harp seals, walruses, reindeer and arctic foxes. Bergens attractive Hanseatic Wharf
On the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1979 the brightly painted wooden houses lining Bryggen quayside are the first sight to greet you in the delightful city of Bergen, founded in 1070 by the Hanseatic merchants.
Tromso
One of the oldest population centres in the north of Norway, Tromsø is known as the Gateway to the Arctic because it was used as a starting point for hunters looking for Arctic foxes, polar bears and seals. Tromsø Domkirke (Tromsø Cathedral) was built in 1861 and is the only wooden cathedral in Norway.
