Enjoying life on board

If you’re not out exploring or it’s a lazy day at sea, you’re sure to be surprised by the range of activities on board...

There’ll be the opportunity to join computer or painting classes, keep fit with some yoga or Pilates, enjoy a swim, or attend a fascinating talk from our guest speakers.

Maybe you’d like to while away the day relaxing with friends old and new, or if you’re looking for some quiet time our ships have plenty of cosy, out-of-the-way areas where you can relax in peace.

Other daily diversions include the gym, a beauty salon and Spa, where you can go for a massage or pampering treatment, and a well-stocked library – a real haven of calm packed with thousands of books. Or maybe use one of the computers to keep in touch with friends and family back home.

Sparkling evenings

Then, when the evening comes and the ship is whisking you away to your next destination, perhaps enjoy an aperitif in one of the ships’ bars before dining in the venue of your choice, or even work up an appetite with a pre-dinner dance class.

If it’s a formal night – expect one on a week-long cruise, two on a 14-night voyage – then you can look forward to dressing up in your glad rags and enjoying that special feeling of occasion in the evening.

Later on, take your seat for a dazzling show, watch a film on the big screen, socialise with friends, go dancing, or simply enjoy a nightcap to the accompaniment of live music in one of our inviting bars and lounges.

On selected cruises you may well be entertained by celebrities – Katherine Jenkins, Chris Beardshaw and Antony Worral-Thompson are just a few of the familiar faces who have joined
us recently.

Best of all, with no children on board, everything aboard our ships is designed purely for your pleasure, so you won’t find kids’ clubs or games arcades taking up the space – just lots of amenities tailored for you.

You can also watch a dazzling evening show in the Britannia Lounge or occasionally enjoy some live comedy in Cooper’s.

At night the ship will be alive with music and socialising in the bars, and with a selection of venues to choose from you’ll never feel overcrowded.

Saga Ruby

Life on board Saga Ruby

Elegant Saga Ruby provides all the warmth and romance of a classic ship. Her grand Ballroom is a great venue for dancing and live music, while the cinema is a fantastic place to watch a classic from the silver screen.

You could try some traditional cruise games such as shuffleboard, deck quoits or table tennis, or improve your handicap with the hi-tech golf simulator.

In the evenings there are many areas where you can socialise and enjoy live music such as the Britannia Lounge and South Cape Bar.
