Hoi An

In 1999, this riverside town was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in an effort to preserve its core of historic architecture, a unique mix of Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, and European styles. Historians believe that Hoi An was founded more than 2,000 years, thanks to evidence from archaeological excavations.

Out and about

This resort is on the outskirts of Danang, 15 minutes away from Danang airport. Historic Hoi An is just 30 minutes' drive away by daily shuttle bus, and close to UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Danang is a lively working city and seaport, with some of Vietnam’s very best beaches just across the river. It's a great base from which to explore major World Heritage Sites including the superbly preserved temples and pagodas of Hoi An and the Imperial city of Hue, both within short visiting distance.
