  • Visit the nature reserve
Sandos San Blas Resort holds a treasure, a natural site declared an environmental reserve, that has remained virtually just as it was hundreds of thousands of years ago. A genuine step back in time that will let you in on the uniqueness and endemic species of its flora and the different episodes of its volcanic eruptions. You could even take a canoe out onto the lake and explore for yourself.
  • Beachfront of San Blas
The exclusive Sandos San Blas Resort has direct access to the beautiful sandy beach. If you fancy a change from relaxing beside one of the 8 swimming pools, or taking a canoe out on the lake in the nature reserve, then why not nip across to San Blas beach and soak up the sun.
  • Explore Puerto de la Cruz
Puerto de la Cruz is one of the top destinations in the Canary Islands. The Old Town is very pretty with a distinct Canarian character. Much of the area around the old fishing port is full of narrow cobbled streets lined with traditional colonial-style cafés and bars. The quaint harbour is also a lovely place to visit. In addition, there is a selection of high-end boutiques, charming plazas and a wealth of tourist attractions located all over the resort.
  • Discover the scenic village of Taganana
See spectacular scenery as you descend from the mountainous Anaga headland to Taganana on this included excursion. It was once the local centre of sugar cane production and then later wine production. Precariously sprawling over several ridges and steep hillsides, it was long remote from the rest of Tenerife and was only connected to the road network in 1968. Nowadays it's easy to reach, with regular buses from Santa Cruz.

Customer reviews

Our new stylish hotel in Tenerife offers the perfect retreat from which to relax and soak up the sun or perhaps venture out to explore the island.

As an intriguing twist, this 5-star hotel has taken inspiration from its position on the edge of a protected environmental reserve for its landscaping, buildings and activities.

Out and about

The hotel is in a quiet coastal location overlooking the rocky beachfront of San Blas. From here a coastal path extends to the Golf del Sur marina on one side and the small fishing port of Los Abrigos on the other, with its authentic bars and restaurants.

Shops and cafes are in San Blas a 30 minute walk away. There’s also much to explore in the hotel grounds. The swimming pools lead down to a rocky beach. There is also the unusual Tunnel of Historic Experience. This is carved into a lava flow and displays chapters in the history of southern Tenerife.

The hotel also has a museum devoted to the environmental reserve and an interpretation centre. You can visit the nature reserve with its spectacular volcanic landscape, or explore the lagoon by canoe.

A local bus service goes from Los Abrigos to local villages. The hotel also provide a shuttle bus five days a week from the hotel to Playa de las Americas.

Tenerife airport is a 15-minute drive away.

Gulf del Sur

Built on a zone declared an area of National Tourist Interest, Golf del Sur is one of the major golf complexes on the island. The geography of the terrain has a significant influence on the characteristics of each round. The broad, rolling fairways are dotted with countless natural obstacles.

The presence of several lakes contrasts with the spectacular bunkers of volcanic sand that protect the greens. The presence of the sea and the impressive gorges that mould the course give golfers the chance to enjoy each visit to the limit.

The facilities you will find at Golf del Sur are on a par with the very best golfing complexes of Europe.
