  • The Madeira Regency Palace
Built in traditional Portuguese colonial style, the Madeira Regency Palace Hotel sits in tropical gardens on a clifftop overlooking the Atlantic and with views of Cabo Girao, the highest sea cliff in Europe.
  • Madeira Botanical Gardens
There are spectacular panoramic views over the mountains and Funchal below from Madeira's Botanical Gardens, but its main attraction lies within among the 2500 plant species gathered there.
  • Breathtaking scenery
With its mild climate, Madeira is an enchanting destination all year round, and has much more to offer the visitor than its size would suggest – from the historic streets of Funchal to breathtaking  views, a rugged coastline and beautiful beaches.
  • Funchal, Madeira's capital
Capital of Madeira for over 500 years Funchal, apparently named because of the fennel growing there, has grown from its origins around the harbour into a modern city spread around the amphitheatre of the bay.
  • Madeira's beautiful flora
Each spring, when the flowers are at their best, an enchanting Flower Festival is held in Funchal, where the streets are filled with floats covered by beautiful blooms from the island’s diverse flora.
