All 430 bedrooms at the Hotel Iberostar Royal Andalus have a large balcony that overlooks one of the outdoor pools and the Atlantic Ocean.
The following excursions are included in holidays to the Hotel Iberostar Royal Andalus:
Visit this old Andalusian town with its narrow streets and courtyards that are typical of this region of Spain.
This ancient port is still partly surrounded by medieval fortifications. A resort as well as a busy naval base, Cádiz has a quaint old quarter and a cathedral where the great Spanish composer Manuel de Falla is buried.
It is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the Iberian Peninsula and the older part of the city, within the remnants of the city walls, is characterised by the antiquity of its various quarters (barrios). The Old City consists largely of narrow winding alleys connecting large plazas, while the newer areas have wide avenues.
In addition to the above, the following excursions are included on holidays of 14 nights or longer. Subject to availability, guests staying seven nights may be able to purchase these excursions:
The prosperous town of Jerez de la Frontera has given its name to sherry. Although prehistoric and Roman remains have been found at Jerez, the oldest surviving structure in the city is the Moorish Castle which has Arab baths and gardens, and which you can see on your city tour.
No visit to Jerez would be complete without touring one of the sherry bodegas, and such a visit is included, ending of course with a tasting session.
Jerez is also internationally known for its locally bred horses. The Royal Andalusian Riding School was established in Jerez in 1973.
Visit Cape Trafalgar, where the famous naval Battle of Trafalgar took place in which the Royal Navy of Lord Nelson defeated the combined Spanish and French fleet of Napoleon on October 21, 1805. There is a 34-metre high lighthouse that was built in 1860.
Also visit the pretty Andalusian town of Conil.
As with many tours of traditional hilltop villages, this excursion involves walking up steep slopes and over uneven ground.
