Out and about

Located in the heart of the village of Gavinana opposite the town church, the hotel is close to a small selection of shops and café bars. Gavinana, at an altitude of 820 metres, is a hidden gem far removed from the tourist trail and it offers an authentic taste of everyday life in rural Tuscany.

There is a bus service to other villages nearby and the region is excellent for hiking.

Pisa airport is approximately one-and-a-half hours’ drive away.

Introducing Gavinana

Gavinana, a hidden gem left off the tourist map, offers a genuine insight into everyday life in northern Tuscany. Set 820 metres up in the Pistoiese Apennines, it is in an area favoured by hikers and walkers wishing to explore the forested slopes and the rural villages. Yet it is also close enough to the classic art centres of Florence, Lucca and Siena - with their numerous museums, galleries, cafes and restaurants - so you can easily experience both sides of Tuscany.
