Out and about

The coastline along the Gulf of Naples is hilly but good local transport links make getting around easy.

It’s a ten-minute walk downhill to the station where a train will take you to Vico Equense in just three minutes then on to Pompei (20 km) or Naples (40 km). Or take the train in the opposite direction for Sorrento just 10 km away.

You can create your own ‘mini-adventures’ by exploring independently in Herculaneum (another well preserved buried city), or the exclusive jet-setters' paradise island of Capri. Your Saga representative can provide details.

There’s a public bus stop 500 metres from the hotel and a free shuttle bus goes to Vico Equense on three mornings and afternoons a week and to Sorrento on three days a week.

The hotel is approximately one hours’ drive from Naples airport.

Vico Equense

A hidden gem of a town on the northern coast of the picturesque Sorrento peninsular, Vico Equense has a small marina and an atmospheric old town, great for browsing its variety of shops or sitting at a cafe in one of the lively squares.

Plus it has location on its side, being set between Naples and Amalfi and connected to both by the coastal road, bus services and the cheap and efficient local railway, the Circumvesuviana. The hotel enjoys a cliff-top position in the hamlet of Seiano, a little way outside the town.
