Located in the resort of St Paul's Bay, the Coastline Hotel is a firm favourite with Saga guests, providing excellent facilities and great value for money. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main resorts, the hotel is an ideal base from which to explore this fascinating island.
The Coastline Hotel provides convenient transport opportunities from its location overlooking Salina Bay and the town of Qawra. A short slope leads down to the coast road where a regular bus service operates to locations across the island. Although there are no cafes or bars in the immediate vicinity, the hotel's own shuttle bus operates throughout the day to the centre of Bugibba, with its shops, bars and restaurants, as well as popular Sliema and the island's fascinating capital, Valletta. The shuttle service runs daily to Bugibba and Monday-Saturday to Sliema and Valletta.
Malta airport is approximately a 45-minute drive away.
St Paul's Bay is where the apostle, St Paul, was shipwrecked in AD 60 en route to Rome where he was to be tried. This is traditionally Malta's largest summer resort and comprises four areas of contrasting age and amenities – the old town, Xemxija, Bugibba and Qawra. There are three small harbours along this stretch of coastline which is mostly rocky. There is a small beach at the head of St Paul's Bay, while the nearest sandy beaches are about eight kilometres away and easily reached by bus.
Please note: the hotel gym will be undergoing refurbishment over a 2 week period starting 27th January. Noise will be of a minimum due to no heavy machinery being used. The indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and changing rooms will not be affected.
