Named after a former Governor, Hamilton is the bustling but relaxed capital and main port of the popular island of Bermuda, where British influences blend with casual island style.
The Grotto Bay Beach Resort stands in 21 acres of lush, landscaped grounds facing the ocean. The hotel’s own private beaches are just a short stroll away. The grounds also include two beautiful underground caves, which are open to hotel guests – one has steps into the water where you may swim.
The resort’s 201 bedrooms are located in 11 lodges tucked amid the tropical foliage and all have a balcony or patio with sea views, a television, telephone, coffee-making facilities, an iron and ironing board, a mini-fridge and safe.
The main colonial-style building houses the Hibiscus Dining Room and the Palm Court Restaurant, which have both received Saga's one-rosette Good Food award, as well as the Rumhouse Bar.
Drinks are included with dinner, and there is a free bar, open from 6pm to 10pm, serving a selection of local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Drinks are not served with lunch although tea and coffee will be available.
