  • Borrowdale Hotel
Nestled at the foot of Shepherd's Crag in the beautiful valley of Borrowdale, this hotel is close to Derwentwater Lake and a stone's throw from Keswick. It is also ideally situated to explore the Lake District National Park, considered one of the most stunning locations in Britain.
  • Explore Derwentwater Lake
Enjoy an included cruise on the Derwentwater Lake during your stay at the Borrowdale hotel. Derwentwater, at 3 miles long, 1 mile wide and 72 feet deep, is fed by the River Derwent and has a long historical and literary background. There are four islands, all owned by the National Trust, as is much of the shoreline.
  • Sizergh Castle and Garden
Set in large, beautifully landscaped gardens and based on an impressive 14th Century pele tower, Sizergh was extended in Tudor times. Of particular interest are the large gardens surrounding the Castle, a notable feature being the National Trust's largest limestone rock garden, including part of the National Collection of Hardy Ferns.
  • The Lake District National Park
With an array of beautiful lakes, innumerable mountain peaks and endless streams, it's easy to see why the Lake District is one of the 'must see' holiday destinations in the UK. An inspiration to artists and poets alike, including William Wordsworth since the 19th century, this holiday is perfectly situated to explore the many attractions both on foot and further afield.
  • Discover quaint Keswick
Keswick Market has around 40 stalls selling a range of local produce. The traditional market offers a wide range of both locally and internationally produced pottery, carvings, crafts and clothes. You’ll also find a selection of delicious home-made jams, preserves and other produce, as well as local meat.
