View optional excursions
Blyde River CanyonBlyde River Canyon

Game drives (up to three hours per drive)

Five game drive are included during your stay. The very best time to view wildlife is normally during the cooler parts of the day (early morning and late in the afternoon/early in the evening), when the animals will be more active.

These drives take place on the Karongwe Private Game Reserve, accompanied by experienced rangers and Shangaan trackers.

As you would expect, none of the wildlife sightings, whatever the season, mentioned in this itinerary are guaranteed.

Kruger National Park (full day)

Enjoy a full-day safari in Kruger National Park – one of the most famous game parks in the world. At almost the size of Switzerland, it's also one of the biggest, as well as being the oldest, established in 1898.

You may be lucky enough to see some of the 'big five' here, as well as glimpses of zebra, cheetah, giraffe and hippo.

Although you may have seen African animals in zoos, nothing can prepare you for seeing the animals in their natural environment.

Please note that due to the road transfer from Shiduli Private Game Lodge to the Kruger National Park, this excursion is conducted in an air-conditioned minibus rather the open safari vehicles that are used within the Karongwe Reserve.

Panoramic tour (full day)

Travel to some of the Limpopo Province’s most spectacular natural landmarks on this tour. Make a photo stop at scenic Blyde River Canyon, then visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes, rock formations carved out by the Blyde and the Treur rivers.

You'll also view God’s Window, a vantage-point on the Drakensberg Escarpment with superb views across the Lowveld (a short uphill walk is necessary to do this).
