Before your holiday, spend three nights at the stylish Protea President (4Q), the perfect base from which to explore Cape Town.
 
The Protea Hotel President is located in the pleasant district of Bantry Bay, between the suburbs of Sea Point and Clifton and about five kilometres west of downtown Cape Town. This large and elegant hotel has a bar, a restaurant, a hair and beauty salon and a curio shop. Leisure facilities include a gym and an outdoor swimming pool, and there are shuttle buses from the hotel to the Canal Walk Shopping Centre. Buses to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront stop a short distance from the hotel.

All rooms are air-conditioned and have a direct-dial telephone, satellite television, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities.

Before your main holiday stay five nights at Rocktail Beach Camp within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park on the KwaZulu Natal Coast to spend time exploring this wilderness area.

Just 500 metres from 40 kilometres of unspoilt beaches, where you can enjoy world-class snorkelling and diving in the UNESCO-protected Maputaland Marine Reserve. Look out for wildlife including hippos, crocodiles exotic birds in nearby lakes as well as the giant leatherback turtles that frequent the beaches of this protected area.

Your accommodation is sophisticated and spacious tented rooms situated within the Maputaland Coastal Forest. Each has its own en suite shower room. Facilities include a central dining room, bar lounge and large pool.

Durban City Tour (half day)

Enjoy a guided tour of South Africa’s third largest city.

Orientation Tour of Balito (half day)

On this excursion, you will enjoy an orientation of this charming seaside village. Drive along the promenade, and then stop for a lovely walk from Clarks Beach along the seaside.

You will find Zulu ladies selling their beadwork and crafts along the way. After this easy walk, you will then visit Waterberry, a delighful tea garden set in lush surroundings and enjoy included tea and cake.

After this, the guide will then take the group for an easy walk in the forest at Waterberry where you might see Bushbuck, and certainly some lovely birds.
