At Saga, we are committed to providing complete peace of mind and protection for your money when you book a holiday with us. Below are some of the questions you may have regarding our holidays and the information of who to contact should you need to.
You can either view them online or call our 24-hour freephone number 0800 300 456 and we'll pop them in the post to you straight away!
Our holidays are for anyone aged 50 and over, although a traveling companion or family member traveling with you may be aged 40 or over. For cruises aboard Quest for Adventure, traveling companions can be aged 21 or over.
Absolutely, although you won't be able to book online. We have a dedicated team of Overseas Travel Consultants who will be able to assist with your booking, and you can contact them on 0044 1303 771190 or simply drop them a line at reservations@saga.co.uk. As we're unable to to offer travel insurance to people who live outside the UK, you'll need to ensure you have adequate cover.
Whether it's a retirement gift, wedding anniversary present or just a little thank you for someone, our gift vouchers can be used towards any Saga cruise or holiday. Best of all, you can choose the exact amount you want to give. Simply send a cheque, made payable to Acromas Holidays Limited for the amount you require together with a covering note explaining who the vouchers are for and where you'd like them sent and post it to:

There are many benefits to being a Saga customer - including exclusive offers and savings with some of our partner companies - but we don't have an official loyalty club, except for those who frequently cruise with Saga, who then become members of our Britannia Club.
We have hundreds of holidays worldwide, spanning everything from all-inclusive resorts to intrepid trekking holidays. To help give you a better idea of what to expect, each falls in to one of four categories and for our more active trips we've given them a rating too.
Stay & Explore
Stay and explore holidays are perfect if you like to immerse yourself in the culture of a region. The accommodation we've chosen usually has bags of character and is well placed to get out and about to explore. You won't be moving from place to place which means you won't have to live out of your suitcase, and you'll have time to relax as well as get an authentic flavour of the region.
Escorted Journeys
Our Escorted Journeys holidays will always include visits to the key sites in the price, and as our tours are exclusively for Saga guests, you'll be in great company too. An experienced tour manager will be on hand every step of the way and nearly all of these tours include breakfasts to set you up for the day's adventures. Some are also all inclusive. To help you find the holiday that suits you the best we've given each of these holidays a rating.
These tours might involve traveling for three to four hours a day and there will usually be days for you to relax. Typically any walking will be at a leisurely pace and will amount to just a few hours a day.
So that you see more of the sights, you'll travel further on these well-paced tours and may stay in a few more hotels. There could be a greater degree of walking too, perhaps over more difficult terrain
If you want to squeeze the maximum enjoyment from your tour, these action-packed adventures could be just what you're looking for. Although we don't like to include lots of long journeys, sometimes it's necessary in order to see the best of a region. So be prepared for a few longer trips (occasionally up to 10 hours), as well as more strenuous excursions that may take you over rough terrain.
Active Explorer
Because of their nature numbers on most Active Explorer holidays are limited - usually between 12 to 25 guests - and all are tailored to the more intrepid traveler. Some holidays will give you a great sense of achievement and others will give you a great insight into intriguing off-the-beaten-track locations. So you know which trip is most suited to you, we've given them a rating.
You'll need to be agile enough to manage steps, ladders and walks of up to a few hours at a time on these gently paced adventures.
These moderately-paced tours may involve walks of three to four hours a day over rough ground, or cruises which involve gangplanks and ladders.
These tours are much more demanding and require a good degree of physical fitness as you could be walking for up to six hours a day across mountainous terrain, or there may simply be longer days of exploration.
Stay & Relax
At our Stay & Relax hotels you won't have to lift a finger (unless you want to). There will be a Saga representative either on site or who will visit regularly. You'll have the freedom to join our organised excursions, explore independently or just sit back and take it easy. Saga's very own hotel in St. Lucia, Bel Jou, is classed as a Stay & Relax Classic as it's exclusively for Saga guests and the entertainment and activities will be tailored especially for you.

Many of our holidays are available on future dates beyond those advertised; if you see something you'd like to book, we can take your details and contact you once the date becomes available. Travel insurance and additional cancellation cover is included for Saga’s overseas holidays, unless you have your own, in which case an insurance opt-out price reduction is available. Our cover is only available to permanent residents of the UK and may not be available on certain special offers and holidays booked online.
A summary of cover can be found here.
Should the policy not meet your requirements you can opt out of the insurance and additional cancelation cover at any time before your departure and buy an alternative travel insurance policy. If you initially opted out of the insurance and additional cancelation cover and then change your mind, you only have 14 days from receiving the confirmation to opt back into our cover. Once the 14 days has elapsed, you cannot opt back into the included insurance and additional cancelation cover.
Confirmation of travel insurance and additional cancelation cover is provided once you have answered the medical conditions section of the booking process. If additional information is required from you regarding any medical condition, you will be able to proceed with your booking, but the inclusion of travel insurance and additional cancelation cover will be subject to our assessment and agreement.
We usually only send a full itinerary once you've made a booking, and this will arrive around ten weeks before you depart. It may be possible to see the itinerary before you've booked - our Travel Consultants will be able to let you know if there is one available.
