Day 1 UK to Rhodes
Fly to the island of Rhodes and stay four nights at the locally rated 4-star Sun Beach Resort (4Q), with a superb location directly on the beach of Ialyssos, just eight kilometres from Rhodes Town.
Day 2 Rhodes town
Rhodes Town was founded in 408 BC and has a fascinating history, which you can discover on an included excursion today.
This evening perhaps join an optional walking tour of medieval Rhodes with dinner in a traditional tavern accompanied by live acoustic music. Street lanterns will light up the way as you stroll through the Jewish quarter and charming Byzantine alleys.
Day 3 At leisure
The day is yours to explore at your leisure.
This picturesque village encircles a small hill which is topped by an Acropolis dating from the second century. Your guide will lead you through the charming narrow streets up towards these Hellenistic remains, from where you'll also be rewarded with views of the beautiful bay. Later, there will be a short stop in the traditional village of Archangelos.
Day 4 At leisure
Choose to relax on the resort's own private beach, or perhaps explore more of the island.
Travel inland through beautiful landscapes to see some of the island's traditional villages and the rural way of life within them.
Day 5 Rhodes to Leros
After breakfast travel by catamaran across the Aegean Sea to the unspoilt island of Leros, where you spend the next three nights at the locally rated 4-star Crithoni's Paradise (2Q). Facilities include a restaurant, bar, gym and sauna.
Day 6 Leros island tour
The unspoilt island of Leros is characterised by an indented coastline, lush landscapes and protected harbours. A full-day included tour highlights some of its historic sights including the Franco Byzantine Fort and Byzantine Castle on Mount Kasteli. B, L, D
Day 7 Leros
Spend the day at leisure amid your tranquil surroudndings.
Day 8 Leros to Symi
This morning you'll travel to Symi, where you spend the next four nights at the locally rated 3-star Pedi Beach Hotel (2Q) which overlooks tranquil Pedi Bay.
Day 9 Symi island tour
Today's included tour uncovers Symi's heritage which has barely been touched by modernisation.
Day 10 - 11 Symi
Spend the next two days at leisure. Perhaps explore Yialos Harbour with its varied range of cafes and restaurants.
Day 12 Symi to Rhodes
Sail back to Rhodes by catamaran where you spend your final three nights back at the locally rated 4-star Sun Beach Resort (4Q).
Day 13 Rhodes panoramic tour
Visit Mandraki Harbour during an included scenic tour of the island today. You'll also see the stunning Italianate gardens at Rodini Park and the spa area of Kalithea.
Day 14 Rhodes
Today you can explore the medieval Old Town independently or perhaps visit Butterfly Valley and Filérimos on an optional excursion. A farewell dinner is included this evening.
On this optional full-day excursion, drive to the hill of Filérimos, now covered with pines and occupied by a monastery and castle. Then continue to Petaloúdhes, the beautiful ‘Valley of the Butterflies’, where millions of Jersey Tiger moths breed annually between June and September.
