Day 2 Las Vegas
You have the day at leisure to explore the dazzling Strip – perhaps attend one of the free shows, head to the Showcase Mall or try your luck at the casinos. B, D
Day 3 Las Vegas-Williams
Travel to Arizona, stopping along the way at Kingman and Seligman, and stay two nights at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel (3Q), which resembles a century-old train depot. B, D
Day 4 Williams-Grand Canyon
Board an elegant vintage train on the Grand Canyon Railway and admire glorious scenery as you journey into the heart of the Grand Canyon National Park. B, D
Day 5 Williams-Sedona-Scottsdale
Travel through Red Rock Country and enjoy an exhilarating jeep drive through Dry Creek Basin. Later, you'll see Montezuma Castle, a prehistoric cliff dwelling created by the Sinagua people over a thousand years ago. Continue to Scottsdale for two nights at the Hilton Garden Inn Old Town Scottsdale (3Q). B, D
Day 6 Scottsdale
Join an included tour of architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s winter home, studio and architectural campus, which he started building in 1937. You can then spend the afternoon at leisure exploring Scottsdale.
Day 7 Scottsdale-Palm Springs
Journey through fascinating desert scenery to Palm Springs, a sophisticated city with a bustling downtown area full of stylish shops, bars and restaurants. You'll stay two nights at the Hyatt Regency Suites Palm Springs (3Q), with dinner included tonight. B, D
Day 8 Palm Springs
This morning enjoy a tour of Palm Springs then board the Aerial Tramway for a scenic ride up Chino Canyon, on September 7 and September 21, 2015 departures you visit Joshua Tree National Park instead. You'll also discover why Palm Springs was so popular with celebrities and how their influence has shaped the city's development during today's 'history and celebrity' tour. B
Day 9 Palm Springs-Long Beach
Head west to Long Beach, Los Angeles and spend two nights at the Hotel Maya (4Q), a stylish waterfront resort. An optional whale-watching cruise is available this afternoon or you may like to explore your surroundings independently. B, D
Day 10 Long Beach
With a day at leisure you might wish to join an optional boat trip to Catalina Island, where Casino Point is a diver's paradise. B
