Day 4 Ramble to Puerto del Carmen

Day 5 Lanzarote-Fuerteventura

Corralejo

Travel to Playa Blanca and take a short ferry crossing to Fuerteventura. Transfer to the locally rated 4-star Barceló Corralejo Bay (4Q) where you spend the next three nights.

Day 6 Betancuria

Today's half-day excursion takes you to Betancuria, an historic settlement and the island's former capital. You'll also pass through many picturesque villages along the way.

Enjoy a day at leisure to relax or explore.


Day 8 Fuerteventura-Gran Canaria

Las Palmas cathedral

Transfer to Morro Jable, where you'll board the ferry to Gran Canaria. During your crossing keep your eyes peeled for whales and dolphins, and admire the views of the islands. You’ll arrive in Las Palmas and continue to the locally rated 4-star Riu Palmeras (4Q). Set in a secluded location in Playa del Inglés, this will be your welcoming base for the next four nights.


Day 9 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Doramas Park in Las Palmas

An included full-day excursion reveals Las Palmas’ old town. At the Museo Canario you'll see an extensive collection of artefacts and mummies of the Guanche, who lived in the Canaries between 1000BC and 100BC. You can admire the endemic blooms of Doramas Park, and you'll see the house in which Christopher Columbus supposedly stayed before his first expedition to America.


Day 10 Playa del Inglés

Today you can join an orientation walk around Playa del Inglés and have free time to explore Maspalomas independently.

Day 11 Playa del Inglés

Spend the day at leisure or perhaps join an optional excursion to Cruz de Tejeda and discover the island’s beautiful, mountainous interior.



Optional excursions

Head into the mountains as you venture towards the centre of Gran Canaria, passing orchards and cornfields before reaching the village of Tejeda, set on the slopes of a crater. Standing 5,184 feet above sea level, a simple carved stone cross – the Cruz de Tejeda – marks the geographical centre of the island. Your tour continues to San Mateo and the town of Teror.

Flight home

Travel to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

Transfer by ferry to Tenerife for a 4-night extension to your holiday at the locally rated 5-star Best Hotels Semiramis (4Q) in Puerto de la Cruz. Situated in a quiet position on a cliff face two kilometres from the centre of town, the hotel facilities include a buffet-style restaurant, à la carte restaurant (extra charge), Saga lounge, free bar from 11am to 11pm, pool, sun terrace and a wellness centre with a smaller, heated pool. There's also a laundry service, complimentary Wi-Fi in the lobby and an internet corner where Wi-Fi is available at an extra charge.
