Quinta da Boa Vista and Botanical Gardens: See a large orchid collection and view the fine Jardin Botanico, with more than 2,000 exotic plants.

Quinta do Palheiro and Funchal gardens: Admire a great diversity of temperate and subtropical plants and Funchal's municipal gardens. You'll also stop at the Camacha Willow Factory and Store, which sits in a small town high in the mountains, to see some local products.

Ribeiro Frio and Monte Palace: Discover the laurel forest and levadas at Ribeiro Frio and the woodland and Oriental gardens.

Madeira Magic garden and Funchal fruit and flower market: View plants from around the world arranged geographically at this Funchal garden, and head to the fruit and flower market where even the fruit is artfully displayed - the whole place is a treat for the senses!

This first-rate hotel combines sea views with modern decor, attentive service and excellent amenities for a relaxing holiday. Delightful gardens, as well as an ocean deck with two infinity pools, invite you to make the most of Madeira's lovely weather, while the sea views continue inside thanks to huge panoramic windows that bathe the public areas with light. If you fancy a rejuvenating treat, head to the Aqua Area which offers a complimentary jacuzzi, sauna and heated indoor pool. There's also a free gym with complimentary access to the classes. The Thalassotherapy centre offers a Turkish bath, Scottish shower, jacuzzi, sauna and a range of treatments, available for an extra charge.


Each of the hotel's 300 spacious rooms embrace its setting with rooms allocated to Saga guests offering side-sea views on levels 1-3 of the hotel.

Food and Drink

Savour included meals in the main buffet-style restaurant and perhaps, when the sun is shining take lunch in the pool bar. There is also the chance to dinearound once per stay at each of the three speciality restaurants for a taste of Italian, Japanese and Maderian cuisine (set menu included or upgrade to à la carte for an extra charge) - you'll find the restaurants just across the road from the main hotel. And, as this hotel is exclusively all inclusive for Saga guests, you can enjoy complimentary local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at the free bar from noon to 11pm daily.
