Isalo National Park is known for its unique landscape of eroded sandstone formations and has rocks dating from the Jurassic period. These rocks have been sculpted over the centuries into incredible and unusual shapes cut through by impressive gorges and canyons.
Almost half of the world’s chameleon species live on the island. This chameleon community is not only the world’s largest, it is also the world’s most unique with 59 different species existing nowhere outside of Madagascar.
