Day 1 UK-Nairobi-Aberdares
After taking Saga’s included UK door-to-door travel service to Heathrow, leave in the evening for your overnight flight to Nairobi.
Day 2 Nairobi - Aberdares
You'll be met and taken to Aberdares for one night at the Outspan Hotel (3Q). After lunch the rest of the day is at leisure.
The tranquil Outspan Hotel is situated in 30 acres of manicured lawns and tropical gardens on the fringes of the Aberdares National Park, within two kilometres of the town of Nyeri. Perhaps take an optional nature walk in the afternoon.
Day 3 Aberdares-Samburu
Set out on a drive that crosses the equator en route to Samburu, arriving in time for lunch. This afternoon you have the chance to see Samburu National Reserve on an included game drive. Stay two nights at the Ashnil Samburu Camp (4Q).
Day 4 Samburu
Today is spent in Samburu’s rugged hills and bush where you'll see dry country species not found in other parts of Kenya. The park is home to Grevy's zebra, beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe.
Day 5 Samburu-Lake Nakuru
Journey 390 kilometres to the Great Rift Valley. Stay overnight at the Lake Nakuru Lodge (3Q). This afternoon's included game drive is in Lake Nakuru National Park.
Day 6 Lake Naivasha
There's another opportunity to view game before you travel to Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge (3Q) for one night. Enjoy an included boat trip on the lake later this afternoon.
Day 7 Masai Mara
Travel to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. Take lunch and get to know your surroundings before joining a late-afternoon game drive. Stay at the Ashnil Mara Camp (4Q) for the rest of your holiday.
Day 8 Masai Mara
Masai Mara is famous for its population of big cats, game and the great annual migration (normally July to September) of zebra and wildebeest from the Serengeti. You have the opportunity to spot some game on two included drives.
Day 9 Masai Mara
Today is your last chance to see game on two included drives.
Day 10 Masai Mara - Nairobi
Travel to Nairobi and continue to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your return overnight flight.
Day 11 Nairobi - UK
After your flight take Saga’s included UK door-to-door travel service home.
5 nights half board post-extension
After your tour, stay at the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort and Spa (4Q), set along 300 metres of beautiful white sandy beach where you will visit a project supported by the Saga Charitable Trust. The hotel has extensive leisure facilities, including four free-form swimming pools, one with a swim-up bar. There is a choice of restaurants, offering a selection of Italian, African and International cuisine with healthy options including freshly-squeezed juices. Other amenities include a beach bar, coffee shop, discotheque, bureau de change and a business centre where you can access the internet.
Alternatively you can upgrade to the Serena Beach Hotel and Spa (5Q), on a half-board basis.
3 nights breakfasts included post-extension
After your tour, stay one night at the Jacaranda Hotel (4Q), in Nairobi, with dinner included tonight. Fly to Livingstone for two nights at the Zambezi Sun (4Q). The hotel is located beside the Victoria Falls and has its own private viewing points on the banks of the river. A tour of the Falls and a river cruise on the African Queen are included.
